Founded in 1690, the Odiot company was in the hands of the Odiot family until 1906. The company owed its great prosperity to, among other things, numerous orders from Napoleon I. After the Emperor's fall, it successfully carried out orders from European courts and aristocracy. To this day, Maison Odiot is associated with luxury and elegance. The company's world-famous feature - "O / olive lamp" in a rhombus - appeared in 1826. In 1894, after Gustav Odiot formed a partnership with Emil Prevost and Paul Edouard Recipton on the initiative of Gustav Odiot, a new mark was registered - "PR / olive lamp / Cie", which was changed to "O / olive lamp / BSR" in 1906 after the succession of Boulenger (1906-1956) . In 1956, the 1826 trait was reverted to.
