With a rectangular top beveled at the corners, with drop-down flaps, with a drawer in the drawer jamb, supported on a lyre-shaped stem resting on a rectangular platform and four feet, veneered in mahogany. The stem is composed of two plank supports, framed on the sides by sigmoid arms (lyres) and fastened between them by two joints, between which strings (lyres). The shaft at the bottom rested on a rectangular support, arched at the rim (in the shape of a simian) and on a rectangular larger platform, framed on the sides by granular slats connected to rectangular feet, over which blackened spheres. Such original Biedermeier tables were used next to sofas for serving meals, but could also be used for writing. Biedermeier-style furniture became fashionable again in the 1st quarter of the 20th century, and elements of the style were also used during the art déco period.
