Meissen, model R 122 circa 1898: Paul Helmig (1859-1939); early 20th century.
On circular base with gilded rocaillas, winged half-naked Cupid in ribbon-tied pink drapery; standing by trunk with short-trimmed boughs, with suspended quiver (no arrows); feeding pigeons, pecking from bowl resting on thigh of raised left leg; pigeon perched on shoulder, with beak at putto's mouth.
