Signed both: cobalt under-glaze mark imitating Meissen crossed swords, with a dot or dash under one of the handles, and engraved: 1544/ D or 1523.
Germany, Meissen imitation with a signature imitating the Meissen brand, 19th/20th century.
Pair of candlesticks - two embracing or garlanded naked winged putti in draperies around their hips, on elongated pedestals with rocaillas and a shaft with a candle hole in the form of a palm stem.
In the style of Meissen wares, but the form and painting are clearly different from Meissen porcelain.
