Vase - potiche, celadon, baluster, with rimmed neck and domed, recessed lid; on the body and lid, two court miniatures each á la Watteau, in a park scene, framed by gilded ribbon reserves with wavy, floral, lattice or braided ornament; on the body: 1) learning to play the flute, with a scrubby sheep, 2) a group of four musicians, including a lady with a guitar and seated with a notebook of sheet music on her lap; on the lid : 1) a lady seated on a hill 2) a young man in a cape seated on a boulder. Around the neck and collar of the lid trails of gilding, edges and handle gilded.
The decoration with a celadon background in Fondporzellan type and careful, good quality court miniatures refer to 18th century Meissen decorations.
