Germany (Thuringia), Volkstedt - Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrik Triebner, Ens & Co., 19th/20th c. (ca. 1894-1900).
Vase in the form of a large eggshell, on an irregular rocky base with a full-figured scene : a kneeling barefoot girl scoops water into a jug from a shot in the rock surrounded by clumps of large burdock (?) leaves and ferns. A stylistically characteristic product of the factory at the turn of the 20th century.
