A lady with a purse - a bag

right hand finger missing, paint and glaze rubbing; height: 20 cm; base diameter: 6.2 cm;
Signed in cobalt on unglazed base (stamp): N under the 5-part crown and an engraved mark similar to S; on the pedestal in front, black inscription: PIETRO BURGO / 1840, on the back handwritten engraved: Jomili (?).
Undetermined European manufacture - Italy?, mid-19th century.
On a spool-shaped pedestal with gilded ornamental edges, a figure of a woman standing in a slight contrapposto. She is dressed in a long, unbuttoned coat with a small patch at the back, a wide-brimmed hat with a high head tied under her chin with a sash; in her right hand she holds a purse-bag.
