Vienna, 1920s - 1930s.
Box with a full-figured monkey figure sitting on the lid; inside the box - an erotic "surprise" - bas-relief and painted scene of a couple having sex.
Bruno Zach (active 1918-1935) Ukrainian sculptor of the art-deco period - worked in Vienna and Berlin, collaborated with such companies as Argentor Werke, Brome Companie, Franz Bergmann, S. Altmann & Co. His work includes sculptural genre, oriental and erotic scenes.
