sterling silver, hallmarked (Nast in italics, sample 12, workshop mark - in ovals) height 12.2 cm, width 15 cm, depth 10 cm; weight 600 g.
Warsaw, ca. 1840.
Supported on four balls, cuboidal with rounded edges, edged with floral half-rails, keyhole on the front with an overlaying escutcheon, decorated with leaves and a pair of birds in antithetical view; hinged lid, raised, flattened, surmounted by a reclining full-figured lion. Key missing, damaged edge of lid.
