Sugar bowl on four volute legs, at the base decorated with plain medallions, with a spherical, flattened body, with engraved monogram tied JS in an oval reserve in the form of a strap fastened with a buckle, with the upper edge covered with pearls; on the sides two sigmoidal lugs; cap . domed, edged with pearls, topped with a knob.
The company was founded by François-Alphonse Debain, who registered his mark - two men in a boat - in 1847. After his death, he was succeeded by his son Alphonse- Édouard, who in 1864 formed a partnership with Louis-Frédéric Flamant as Debain & Flamant and registered his father's mark, adding his partner's name to it.
In 1880, the label was taken over by their heirs registering the company as Flamant & Fils.
