Vessel in the form of a barrel, placed horizontally on an openwork, formed from flat bar, frame on four curved legs, with the spout placed top, covered with a square, openable hinged lid with a lyre-shaped handle, a faucet with a decorative, openwork stopcock (removable) attached to the front; the belly decorated on one side with an Art Nouveau engraved ornament of stylized, geometric flowers and leafy festoons with a circular blind reserve for the placement of a monogram.
In pre-revolutionary Russia, the term ARTEL was used to refer to a type of craftsmen's cooperative, bringing together small manufacturers. A distinguishing feature of the ARTEL 5 company was silverware made in the Art Nouveau and Old Russian styles.
