The signature indicates Rudolf Siemering (1835-1905), German sculptor, representative of the 19th century Berlin School of Sculpture, graduate of the School of Arts and Crafts in Königsberg and the Academy in Berlin, pupil of Christian Daniel Rauch (1777-1857). Known as the author of monuments and busts of historical figures.
