Figure of a young girl in Renaissance dress, with long hair flowing down her back. White marble base, stepped, square in plan with chamfered corners; on the front a plaque with an inscription: Ophelie.
Signature: Debut and foundry mark: JULES GRAUX BRONZIER.
Jules Graux - noted as a bronzier and foundryman, active in Paris from the mid to late 1890s. The Graux Foundry was famous for producing high-quality bronze castings, including clocks, candelabra, statuettes and other beautiful decorative arts.
