Jadwiga Hładki-Wajwódowa - painter, sculptor, illustrator; studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (under Edmund Bartłomiejczyk, among others). Member of the Association of Polish Graphic Artists Ryt and the graphic-decorative studio Mewa. She was involved in printmaking and illustrating children's books, cooperated with "Płomyczek" and "Słonek", her woodcuts and paintings were placed in the cabins of the ship m/s Piłsudski, she also designed the covers of the monthly magazine "Skamander". She died during World War II along with her husband during the Warsaw Uprising.
