Arch of Trajan in Benevento - Roman triumphal arch, erected in 114 A.D. to commemorate the completion of the road (via Traiana) connecting Benevento with the port of Brindisi. The reliefs on the structure depict Emperor Trajan in various scenes, including a scene in which Trajan triumphantly enters Rome and receives his thunderbolt from the god Jupiter as a symbol of power. The arch remains in good condition to this day.
