Sara Majerowicz (p.v. Gliksman, s.v. Fajtlowicz) - there are discrepancies as to the dates of the artist's life. Various sources give two dates and two places of birth - April 4, 1910 in Chęczyn and November 28, 1915 in Lodz, at the same time giving the date of her death as 1943/1944. In one of the interviews given, the painter specified her date of birth as 1915. According to the State Archives in Lodz, she was born on November 28, 1909. Her parents came from the Borderlands and moved to Lodz around 1910. She took drawing lessons first from Maurycy Trębacz and later at the drawing school run by Ryszard Radwański, then commuted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw for classes. From around 1933, she was a member of the Professional Union of Polish Artists in Lodz. She participated in many exhibitions, in Lodz, Warsaw, Cracow and Lvov. She first exhibited with the Union in late 1933/1934, as Sara Majerowicz. She probably got married in 1935, since in the next issue of "Forma" from 1936 she already appears as Sara Gliksmanowa. In 1940 she was deported to the ghetto. After the war, in 1957, she left Poland for Israel, where she died in 2005.
