Porcelain, enamel paints, gilding, brass, glass; overall height 68.5 cm.
Germany, 19th/20th century.
Brass foot with four legs and decoration with shell motif; pear-shaped, slender stem and spherical kerosene container -porcelain, decorated with floral projections; glass fireplace, tulip shade of opaque, colorless glass with etched floral pattern.
KOSMOS BRENNER type burners, manufactured mainly by Brokelmann, Jaeger & Busse in Westphalia ( Arnsberg) - were used by numerous kerosene lamp factories throughout Europe.
