Token in the shape of a coat of arms shield, double-sided; obverse guilloche, covered with transparent ruby enamel with overlay: baronial crown and tied monogram "KH"; reverse - matte gold with applied silver overlay: baronial crown and tied monogram "AH". In the upper part, an openwork finial with a movable through eyelet, on which the engraver's name mark is beaten: "JK" - Jan Knedler and the state Russian imperial guild for the Warsaw Gubernia - pr. 56 with eagle, used in 1851-1914/15.
Jan Knedler's art and engraving shop operated from 1896 in Warsaw at 45 Nowy Świat St. (until 1929), then at 13 Radna St. He made engraving, enamel work, medals, badges and devotional products. In 1904 he was awarded a gold medal at an exhibition in Paris. The company was active until 1951 under the management of Kazimierz Knedler; in that year it was taken over by VERITAS.
J. Knedler's works are in the National Museum in Warsaw, the Museum of Warsaw, the Museum of the Polish Army, among others.
