Icon for domestic use - for both clergy and laity - is a depiction of an Orthodox church iconostasis, divided into zones: I/ bottom the Tsarist gates with a depiction of the four Evangelists, on the sides Our Lady - Hodegetria and Christ Pantocrator and figures of local patrons. II/ row with icons referring to major holidays. III/ row with the main figures of Deesis: Christ, Mary and John the Baptist. IV/ Images of the Prophets. V/ Figures of the Patriarchs. In the main, central vertical - a finial with the scene of the Crucifixion.
The whole inscribed in an architectural setting - with domes of Orthodox churches and monasteries. The bordure is smooth, ochre, with figures of saints (three quarters on each side).
