Two-zone painting with elaborate iconographic content, inscribed in an architectural frame, with domes of Orthodox churches and monasteries.
In the upper part, the central figure is the Mother of God - Protector and Advocate - in the position of Orantka against the background of the mandorla - holding her veil - maforion, as a symbol of care for the world. She is surrounded by saints and angels, with Christ visible on the clouds at the top. In the lower part - St. Roman the Singer - Melodos, the creator of kontakions - hymns in honor of Mary; numerous figures of saints; on the left the imperial couple - Leo and Zoe; there is also on the left St. Andrew Yurodiv and his disciple Epiphanius, to whom Mary has just appeared with her veil, as an intermediary between people and God.
The color scheme of the painting is interesting, with a predominant pink-amaranth hue.
