Image of St. Nicholas - bishop of Mirra - Miracle-worker (lived 280 - 345/352), wearing mitre (superimposed on image separately) with Deesis motif; right hand in blessing gesture, in left hand closed Book. Nimb in the form of a wreath, with an openwork edge. Cover repoussed, gilded; bordure with geometric pattern. At the height of the nimbus - in the clouds - on the left Christ, on the right Mary. Signatures on the lower edge of the cover and on the nimbus: the sample "84", the Moscow city guild - St. George, the goldsmith's monogram in Cyrillic:"ϹКЗ".
