Image of the Virgin Mary of the Hodegetria type, with the Child seated on Her lap. The Mother is pointing to the Son as Savior. Christ with a cross nimbus around His head - He is looking at Her, blessing with His right hand, holding a rolled up retulus in His left hand. Mary's golden nimbus - partially overhanging the upper band of the bordure. Painting in delicate pastel colors with predominance of Indian pink, ochre and gilding. On the smooth bordure - two gluma: on the left the figure of the Guardian Angel, on the right the Holy Martyr with a cross in her hands. Accompanying inscriptions in Cyrillic, in Yaroslavl calligraphy.
The icon, famous for its miracles, the original of which is located on the holy Mount Athos in the Iviron Monastery.
